Longwood University was established in 1839 as the Farmville Female Seminary and in 1884 became a state supported institution renamed the State Female Normal School in Farmville. In 1949 the institution became Longwood College and in 2002, Longwood University.
The Greenwood Library contributions to the Internet Archive begin with the university’s yearbooks and student publications.
